Photographer Cameron Boyd

Hi there.  Thanks for visiting.  I’m a recently retired physics teacher of 33 years living in London, Ontario, Canada.  For the past 26 years, I taught at Medway High School, in Arva, just north of London, and at Strathroy DCI before that.  I have coached volleyball, badminton and golf, and was the school’s Senior Reach for the Top Team Advisor for most of my years there.  For much of that time I also served as the co-convenor of the London Regional Reach for the Top League.  I serve as the Financial Recording Secretary for St. Ansgar Lutheran Church in London, and I sit on the Board of Directors for Lutheran Independent Living London, which oversees the St. Ansgar Place apartment building.

I have been a Pentax photographer since 1987, and my focus has largely been on landscapes, but more recently also on wildlife and agriculture.  As I headed toward retirement from teaching, I began to think seriously about professional photographic endeavours, which, among other things, has lead to this web site.

I love technology and gadgets, and have a nearly insatiable desire for new toys.  I consider myself fortunate to have the photographic equipment that I have, two modern DSLR cameras made by Pentax, including the K1 Mark II, one of the best landscape cameras ever made.  I have more lenses than I really need (don’t tell Heather), and hope, over the coming months and years, to explore the many possibilities that these lenses open up for me.

I’m grateful that you have taken an interest in me and my work.  I hope that you’ll join me in this exploration of my second career, and lifelong passion for photography.  Visit the site occasionally to see new content, or use the Contact page to sign up for notifications of new galleries and services.
